PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
Preparations for the Independence Day parade on Kolkata’s Red Road have been finalised, with elaborate security arrangements in place. The iconic stretch will be under round-the-clock surveillance on August 15 to ensure a smooth and safe event.
CCTV cameras have been installed at every corner of Red Road, while drones will monitor the area from above. On the ground, watch towers and patrolling officers will provide additional layers of security. In total, around 2000 police personnel will be deployed to manage the crowd and maintain order.
Police officials have emphasised that the combination of aerial surveillance, ground monitoring, and technological support will allow for quick response to any situation. The security plan aims to safeguard both participants and spectators attending the parade.
With these arrangements, authorities expect a safe and incident-free Independence Day celebration at one of the city’s most important venues.
